Veteran entertainer Donny Osmond made a triumphant return to the Las Vegas stage on Tuesday night (03Sep13) for the first time since suffering a bizarre buttock injury in July (13).

The Puppy Love hitmaker was performing with his sister Marie at the Flamingo hotel and casino earlier this summer (13) when he leaped on a piano and collapsed in pain.

The 55 year old underwent surgery to fix the torn muscle, forcing him to sit out a series of gigs, with Marie calling on their brother Merrill to step in as a temporary replacement.

The latest run of The Donny & Marie Show kicked off on Tuesday and Osmond was happy to be back.

Taking to his page before the concert, he wrote, "Rehearsals start in about 10 min... Tonight is the first show since surgery/rehab. Great to be back in Las Vegas."

However, Osmond's live comeback wasn't without one or two jabs from his cheeky sister, who poked fun at his need for stylish walking aids onstage.

In a Twitter post on Wednesday (04Sep13), she wrote, "Back on the boards @FlamingoVegas Feels great to be back. It's me, @donnyosmond & his flashy canes. Really???"
