Former NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK star Donnie Wahlberg is grateful for his movie career - because royalty money from his time in the boyband has completely dried up.

The group were the teen sensation of the 1980s and early 90s - but the singer-turned-actor insists it didn't set him up for life.

Wahlberg says, "I've got about $8 left from New Kids - so I'm okay. Not dead yet."

He only did marginally better from collaborations with his brother Mark Wahlberg: "I've got about $40 left from MARKY MARK and all that stuff."
