TV business tycoon Donald Trump has defended serial love cheat Tiger Woods - blaming his indiscretions on the "tremendous pressure" the star faces as a top golfing pro.
The sports star's career and home life were rocked last year (09) when news of his numerous affairs behind wife Elin Nordegren's back hit the headlines.
He entered a rehab facility for sexual addiction therapy before apologising to his family, friends and colleagues in a statement in February (10).
And despite the backlash, Woods can depend on one man for support - golfing enthusiast Trump.
He tells the New York Daily News, "Tiger's a friend of mine. I really like him a lot.
"I really think that there's tremendous pressure you wouldn't understand from the world of golf."
Trump also had kind words for another alleged cheater - Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James, who appeared on his Celebrity Apprentice show last year (09).
He adds, "I also know Jesse James very well. He's a tough guy and a smart guy."
But the mega-rich businessman admits he could see the cracks in James' marriage to the superstar during the programme's run: "I always wondered why he didn't bring Sandra on the show. I guess now we know."
