Los Angeles police officials are investigating a sledgehammer attack on reality TV regular-turned-presidential wannabe Donald Trump's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A vandal dressed as a construction worker defaced the plaque Trump unveiled in 2007 early on Wednesday (26Oct16) as part of a protest against the property tycoon.
The man has since been identified as James Otis and he tells TMZ he's prepared to do jail time for his crime.
Otis is hoping to auction off pieces of the star and donate the money to the legal defence funds of women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct.
But officials at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce are unlikely to let his act of vandalism pass without punishment as each Walk of Fame plaque is worth approximately $30,000 (£24,500).
