The band's guitarist Glenn Frey hinted earlier this year (15) that an Eagles-based stage show could be in the pipeline because he was getting inspiration from his frequent trips to see Broadway performances.

Now drummer Don Henley has confirmed the musicians are working on the project, which will be a musical theatre show featuring the band's back catalogue, with a plot based mainly around their most famous song.

Henley tells Mojo magazine, "I would say at this point in time that another album is rather unlikely but I have learned to never say never. We do have plans however to develop a Broadway musical based on our catalogue - primarily around the song Hotel California, but it would employ a great many of the songs going back to the beginning."
