Hip-hop star DMX has become the first artist in the history of America's Billboard 200 chart to have his first five albums debut at number one.

The rapper's latest release, GRAND CHAMP, entered the chart at the top spot this week (ends26SEP03) after selling 312,000 copies, according to NIELSEN SOUNDSCAN.

Although the album debuted at number one, it sold fewer units in its first week than the rapper's last release, 2001's GREAT DEPRESSION, which shifted 440,000 copies in the same time frame.

Grand Champ, which DMX insists is his last album, features guest appearances from Patti Labelle, Styles P, 50 CENT, Jadakiss and Eve.

A Perfect Circle's new album THIRTEENTH STEP and Erykah Badu's WORLDWIDE UNDERGROUND debuted at second and third position respectively.
