The Get It On The Floor hitmaker, real name Earl Simmons, is currently at the centre of a police investigation in Newark, New Jersey, amid claims a member of his entourage pulled a gun on a 21-year-old male during an encounter at a gas station in the early hours of Sunday (05Apr15).

In his police report, the alleged victim stated that DMX grabbed $3,200 (£2,000) in cash from him before making a quick getaway.

However, DMX's legal representative has cast doubt on the accuser's side of the story, insisting it was actually the youngster and his pals who were involved in illegal activity.

Lawyer Murray Richman has branded the allegations "completely absurd" and tells E! News, "(DMX) was leaving a show, a very successful show, and he stopped for gas. Four young men approached him for a photo. They took photos and they offered him drugs. He said no and told them to go... They had an argument and next thing you know, they are accusing him of robbery. Just nonsense."

The run-in occurred hours after DMX, 44, completed his set at the local Masters of Ceremony Hip Hop Reunion concert.
