A representative for DMX has confirmed the troubled rapper surrendered to authorities to begin another jail term on Monday (26Jul10) - insisting the hip-hop star plans to "rebuild his image" by taking responsibility for his actions.
The musician - real name Earl Simmons - was handed a three-month stint behind bars for a probation violation in connection with a reckless driving conviction eight years ago (02).
He turned himself over to authorities in Los Angeles on Monday (26Jul10) and went back to prison barely four weeks after he was released following four months behind bars on a separate parole violation charge.
DMX's lawyer Aja M. Southern is adamant the star has "co-operated" fully with the court system and is planning to use his time inside to clean up his act.
Southern tells Allhiphop.com, "This is one of many steps towards rebuilding his image and rapport with the community and his loyal fans."
