Troubled rapper DMX missed a New York court hearing on Wednesday (28SEP05) to face allegations of driving with a suspended licence.

According to RENEE HILL, a lawyer for the hip-hop star, DMX was unable to report to the Bronx courtroom because he's fallen "very ill" with what is suspected to be food poisoning.

Judge GEORGE VILLEGAS has given the 35-year-old rap star until Monday (03OCT05) to show up. If he still doesn't show, the judge plans to follow the prosecutors' request to issue a warrant for the rapper's arrest.

DMX added to his pile of legal woes in April (05) when his vehicle hit a woman's car on the Bronx's Major Deegan Expressway. The collision propelled the woman's vehicle into an unmarked police cruiser carrying two officers.

Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the pile up, including DMX's pregnant wife and two children who were with him in the vehicle at the time. He was immediately taken into custody for driving with a suspended licence, ticketed and issued a summons to appear in court.

Authorities in Berlin, Germany, are also looking into accusations that DMX roughed up two young fans last week (ends23SEP05) following a gig there.
