The DJ, who is signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, was pulled over by police in New York City in the early hours of Tuesday after failing to use his headlights while cruising around Manhattan.

When officers ran his details through their system, they discovered his driver's license had been suspended due to a previous incident in 2014, and there was a warrant out for his arrest as he had failed to show up for a court date.

He was subsequently taken into custody, but was released hours later after paying a fine.

Whoo Kid, real name Yves Mondesir, tells TMZ.com he had no idea about the arrest warrant, insisting he had paid a ticket relating to a 2014 traffic case.

He is now set to appear in court in June (16) to answer the latest charge.
