Dixie Chicks star MARTIE MAGUIRE has blasted country music radio stations for refusing to promote their North America tour - because the snub is costing them dear. Radio networks are still reluctant to even talk about the trio after singer Natalie Maines publicly criticised PRESIDENT George W Bush onstage during a concert in London in 2003, and now Maguire feels their stance is ridiculous. She says, "We were selling about 14, 15 sometimes 17,000 tickets in 2003 and now it's about 7,000 per night. It's a visible difference, for sure. "I attribute a lot of that to the fact that a lot of people don't even know we're on tour. "Some country stations wouldn't even buy our paid advertising." The trio kicks off the second leg of its Accidents + Accusations tour in Canada tomorrow night (27OCT06). The shows continue through to December (06).
