Disney film Bolt has remained at the top of the UK box office charts despite the release of romantic comedy Confessions of a Shopaholic.

The animation took £3 million in its second weekend on release to retain the number one spot, with Confessions… earning £2.8 million.

Former Home And Away star Isla Fisher - engaged to Borat actor Sacha Baron Cohen - stars in the latter as shopping-obsessed journalist Rebecca Bloomwood who lands a job on a financial magazine despite her personal mountain of debt.

Multiple Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire dropped one place to third while The Curious Case of Benjamin Button -which was nominated for 13 Academy awards but won just three - fell to fifth.

The only other new entry in this week's UK chart was sci-fi thriller Push, starring Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning as young Americans with special powers pursued by a shady government organisation.
