Actor Dick Van Dyke has teamed up with producer Harvey Weinstein to release a memoir about ageing to coincide with his 90th birthday.

The Mary Poppins star's Keep Moving: And Other Tips About Old Age will hit book shelves in autumn of next year (15), just weeks before he turns 90 on 13 December (15).

A statement from the actor reads: "I'm not going to sugarcoat anything. Yes, your knees do hurt, your hair thins, you lose loved ones, and your memory can act like a friend who doesn't answer the phone. But I'm going to assure people that there is a beautiful life waiting for you. There's no reason to feel bad about getting old if you do it right. Just keep moving."

Weinstein adds, "We are thrilled to be working with DICk. As well as motivating and moving, this will be a fun book to honour the life and career of a Hollywood legend."
