Legendary singer Diana Ross amazed bosses at a teenage community centre - when she offered to perform a fund-raising gig in its benefit for free.
The CHAIN REACTION star - whose sons EVAN and ROSS NAESS voluntarily work at the ARCH STREET TEEN CENTER in Greenwich, Connecticut - phoned organisation director KYLE SILVER to arrange the concert, set to be held in the town's ROGER SHERMAN BALDWIN PARK this Thursday (24JUN04).
While the gig is free, Ross will raise money by charging $250 (GBP140) for 300 people who attend an exclusive reception hosted by the singer after she performs.
A shocked Silver says, "For a second I thought it was a joke. I mean, when does that ever happen?"21/06/2004 17:34
