Tickets for the European leg of Depeche Mode'S forthcoming tour have sold out within minutes.
It was announced last week that a record number of tickets were being sold for the band's Tour of the Universe.
The electro-rock veterans will only play one date in the UK, which will take place at London's O2 arena on May 30th next year.
A spokesman for the venue said the tickets sold out in "literally minutes", with phone lines becoming jammed and websites crashing in the process, reports Uncut.
He added: "This is remarkable in light of the fact that tickets went on sale eight months before the first show and we will not be hearing anything from the new record until the new single hits radio in February and the new album is not out until April next year."
The band's last tour - entitled Playing The Angel - broke records in 2006, with some 1.8 million tickets being sold.
