Denzel Washington is grateful for his wife's advice during voting for the annual Academy Awards, because he rarely has time to watch all the competing films.
The actor, who won Oscars in 1989 and 2001, is among the Hollywood elite who decide the winners at Tinseltown's biggest prizegiving as a member of the Academy.
However, Washington admits his partner Pauletta is the one with the vote because she watches all the hotly-tipped movies and gives him her opinion.
He says, "Actually, my wife watches all of the movies. You know they send you the DVDs and she watches them all.
"So she actually does the voting, I'll be honest with you. I watch some of them but she watches them all. She's like, 'Oh no, no, no you don't want to put that one down.'"
