Deftones will release the fan-pleasing 'B-Sides and Rarities' CD/DVD pack on November 7th on Maverick.
'B-Sides and Rarities' features a CD of collectable Deftones tracks that includes acoustic versions of 'Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)', 'Change (In The House Of Flies)' and 'Digital Bath'; as well as a number of covers such as 'Sinatra' (Helmet), 'Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want' (The Smiths), 'If Only Tonight We Could Sleep' (The Cure), 'Simple Man' (Lynyrd Skynrd), 'Savory' (Jawbox), 'The Chauffeur' (Duran Duran), 'Wax and Wane' (Cocteau Twins) and 'No Ordinary Love' (Sade). The CD is completed by various other obscure Deftones tracks.
The DVD features videos for all of their singles to date as well as live versions of 'Engine Number 9' and 'Root.' The package is completed by track-by-track sleeve notes from all five band members plus rare and previously unseen behind the scenes footage.
The band's last album, entitled simply 'Deftones', was their fast selling UK release to date, charting at #7. The album entered the US Billboard album chart at #2. The quintet have been writing and recording material in Malibu, Connecticut and Sacramento for their upcoming fifth album that is due for release early next year.
