African-Indian actor Deep Roy had to adhere to a strict diet on the set of Tim Burton's new movie CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY - so he didn't gain weight.

The diminutive movie star played all 165 Oompa Loompas in the movie, including female secretaries, tribal chiefs and rock stars, and Burton insisted he didn't gain or lose more than three pounds for the duration of filming - so his movie clones all looked the same.

Roy says, "I had a special diet they put me on - protein as well as veggies. Then they measured my weight every week. They measured my chest and my arms. They didn't want me to change."
