The television presenter - who has hosted the reality show since it began in 2000 - admitted she has been "in denial" about the popular Channel 4 show ending when this year's 'Ultimate Big Brother' comes to a close on September 10.
She explained: "It is sad. It is really sad. I have been in denial about it, but last week I had my first misty-eyed moment during a script meeting. We had one of those appreciative moments when we told each other how great it has been.
"I told them I will really, really miss them all. I mean what will summer be like next year without 'Big Brother'?"
The 42-year-old star - who will host the second series of Sky1's talent search 'Got To Dance' later in the year - said she thought this year's 'Ignore The Obvious' task, where housemates had to ignore a series of distractions, was one of the "cleverest" the show has ever seen.
She added to Britain's Hello! magazine: "The good thing is that many of my best 'Big Brother' moments have been from this series. The whole task of 'Ignore The Obvious' was one of the funniest, cleverest and most hilarious things that 'Big Brother' has ever done."
Davina will finish work on the reality show this Friday (10.09.10) at the finale of 'Ultimate Big Brother'.
