David Lee Roth - Comments and Message Board

I still Love David Lee Roth, "I am cute I am funny, so why am I lonesome, honey? I have racked my brain over this, and I think that you are not lonesome, even if you wail, "I ain't got nobody". You certainly have my heart, and countless thousands of others who think you are the greatest thing to happen to rock and roll music since Elvis the King. When you try to be crass crude or common all you end up doing is to make us appreciate your angst with humor. We sprout out "I love it" because we know form where you are coming from and what the problem is. You are too good for mediocrity because we see you as an average person in need of love. I speak for many, "we love you". Your unique style and unique talent have taken us. You make us love you, you are successful. You speak startling truths, that make sense and have a story. You have found out where and what Americans want to hear and you play on it. We want more sex, love, and entertainment. You deliver. There is too much emphasis and debate on the growing older aspect of commentaries. and D.L.R. still is quite entertaining. The question is how did you capture so many hearts? By staing the same with your little boyishness, and love for pranks. Live long, and prosper, we love you - D.L.S.

Dear Fans and Friends of Van Halen,I think Vachel Lindsey wrote, "Let not young hearts be smothered out before they do quaint deeds and fully flaunt their pride. It is the worlds one crime its babes grow dull, its poor are limp, ox- like, and leaden eyed, not that they starve but that they never eat, not that they die but that they die like sheep

Dear friends and fans, There simply is not enough of David lee Roth to go around. I don't think that Eddie and David are merely doing this for the money. They make a lot of money because they are right about what Americans want: more sex, more fun, and more laughter. How honest are they? Well they(Van Halen members) are fairly upfront about who is doing what for what. They verge on the unacceptable in speech but you know deep inside, they are being honest, they make sense, and they are very cute (using two or more definitions of the word cute).

Dear Van Halen Fans, and Van Halen, May the Good Lord protect you down every road you go. Then hurry home to compile the videos, and C.D.'s for the hungry fans.

I love David Lee Roth, and Van Halen, I am really crazy about them. They can do no wrong in my eyes, and there is a good reason they are strictly adult taste. As we have later day saints, we also have modern day prophets proclaiming the Kingdom. They tell a story of inner turmoil, mostly about Sex, Thank God! What is natural about man. That is why I think of them as having a very healthy spirituality and being well-within the normal range. Van Halen is very American, and their particular style of rock and roll, echoes what goes on in the majority of us, sexual repression, anger or paranoia, and the cry for another who loves us despite our faults.

Dear Friends of Van Halen, I am thrilled about the concerts, even though I cannot attend, and there are probably several thousand who really love Van Halen who cannot attend, for work school or family commitments. The tickets may be out of our range, and the cities are too far away. Any way my Uncle sent me the review from the Charlotte Observer, and now I want to find out about Greensboro, and how the concert went there as well. Seems like age is a concern of some of the fans and how they can perform being in their fifties. Rudolph Neryev performed late and so did several great Ballerinas. Actually, good performers need to be good body builders as well, to keep up their strength in voice and in dance. How do I live thee let me count the ways - I love what you have done, I love the choice of songs compiled in the albums, I love the antics of Dave on Video, I love the costumes, David Lee Roth and the competition for being the greatest, and I love Eddie, he seems so shy. I just love everything about them. Words cannot express my sorrow at not being able to attend. I have found a friend who will be going to the Vorizon D.C. show, and he promised to tell me about it in vivid detail. Maybe in the spring I can get it together to see them. In the meantime I hope the fans will find some legitimate criticism other than the aging of the body that will be good productive feedback to the performers, since there is nothing we can do about getting a year older. "Love comes in at the eye, and wine goes in at the mouth that is all we know about life before we grow old and die; I lift the glass to my mouth and look at you (Van Halen) and sigh."

I am very sorry that I missed the Charlotte concert, however it went the way I thought - excellently. I am very glad that the series started so well. I hope that I can see excerpts on the computer. I really love Van Halen, and all members, They have so much talent and personality. They are all excrutiatingly cute. The songs that they do best are the ones that they wrote themselves. I love "Simple Rhyme" and "Full Bug". I can't tell you how many times I have played these over and over. I offer my love and prayers to Van Halen, and the fans for a real positive and magical time for the rest of the concert series. D.L.S.
