The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filed for divorce from the music producer in January (16) following their separation in December (15), after four years of marriage.

Following the news, it was reported David had been questioning Yolanda's battle with Lyme disease, which she was diagnosed with in 2012. However, both David and Yolanda then issued separate statements to dispel the rumours and insisted David was supportive during her health crisis.

David's daughters Sara and Erin, who star in reality show parody Barely Famous, have now spoken out to defend their dad and speculate whether Yolanda is as sick as she makes out.

“That’s not for us to comment on," Sara told Jenny MCCarthy on her SiriusXM radio show Dirty, Sexy, Funny. "Only she knows her journey, but what I will say is if you’re capable of continuing to be on a reality show, you’re not dying... let’s be honest.”

"We are not doctors,” Erin adds. “However, I think that from everyone’s experience, if anyone’s ever known someone who is very sick, who has cancer, who is dying, who’s in the last year of their life, the only thing that person gives a s**t about is getting through the day and being treated normally.

"No one wants everyone to know how sick they are and everyone to see how much they’re struggling, and when that seems to be the focus, making everyone see how sick you are, that’s just confusing to someone who’s trying to be supportive.”

The siblings seemed to reluctant to comment when asked if they got along with Yolanda, but were full of praise for her children Gigi, Bella, and Anwar.

Sara, 35, and Erin, 33, also defended David because they feel he got a "bad rap" in the press and hate on social media following the divorce, even though everyone was "so off the mark about how things went down."

Yolanda previously defended herself after her reality show co-stars questioned her condition, and she is currently writing a book about her health battle.

Sara and Erin, and their sister Jordan, are from David's second marriage to wife Rebecca Dyer. He has two other biological daughters from previous marriages. He has been married four times.
