Rock legend David Bowie fears he will lose his hell-raising reputation - after quitting smoking and declaring himself free of all vices.

The Ziggy Stardust hitmaker, 57, has battled against drink and drug demons since shooting to fame but was left more concerned by his inability to quit smoking.

But now Bowie has managed to stub out the nasty habit, he feels like a new man.

He jokes, "Well, there's just the heroin. But I'm dealing with that - it shouldn't be long now.

"Other than that, life is a dream. No, please, I take that back. Yes, I'm afraid I am viceless. I don't drink, do drugs or smoke. I do coffee - gallons of it, still."
