Illusionist David Blaine is suffering from heart palpitations and blurry vision as he nears the end of his 44 day ABOVE THE BELOW starvation stunt.

The American magician has been without food suspended above London's RIVER THAMES in a Perspex Box for 42 days - and is said to be "not in the best of health" as he struggles to complete the feat.

A spokesperson says, "His goal is to aim for Sunday (19OCT03) - that is only two-and-a-half days away.

"He has been focusing on that all week and he has passed his final weekend, but there are still risks to his health."

The spokesperson also confirmed Blaine will be rushed straight to a private hospital when he leaves the box as planned on Sunday (19OCT03).
