Soccer legend David Beckham is turning his charity work into a family affair by lining up his teenage son Brooklyn for an aid trip to a needy nation.

The retired sports ace has been a Goodwill Ambassador for the Unit Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) since 2005 and has taken part in several morale-boosting visits to families in impoverished countries.

Now he has revealed he tries to involve his children Brooklyn ,15, Romeo, 12, Cruz, nine, and three-year-old Harper in his charity work and intends to take his eldest son with him on a Unicef trip soon.

Beckham tells Sky News, "I make sure my children are well aware of exactly what I do. My little girl is three-and-a-half years old so she is a little bit too young but she knows that Daddy goes away and helps people, helps children and then comes back and shows her the pictures of exactly what he has been doing. And my eldest, he is almost 16 and he is nearly at the age where he actually can start coming on trips with me and really understanding it."
