David Beckham had denied internet rumours his wife Victoria Beckham gave birth to the couple's first daughter on American Independence Day (4th July 2011). News that the Beckham's had welcomed a daughter named "Felicity" began circulating on social networking sites but the couple's representative has rubbished the story.
Speaking on his Twitter page, spokesman Simon Oliveira said there was "no truth" in the statements that David and Victoria's baby-girl had been born, or that the child had been named Felicity. It was widely reported that Victoria was due to give birth by caesarean section on 4th July 2011, but fresh reports suggest the couple's first baby-girl will be delivered next week. Speaking at the launch of the new Los Angeles Galaxy football strip, Beckham spoke to reporters about his excitement at welcoming a girl into the family, saying, "We're really excited. It is a whole new thing for us - to have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses". According to Sky News, some bookmakers have installed the name 'Liberty' as the favourite to be selected by the Beckham's for their new arrival, with 'Holly' and 'Pippa' close behind.
David Beckham and wife Victoria are already parents to three boys, Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo.
