Darren Criss is following in the footsteps of his Glee co-star Matthew Morrison by releasing his own solo album.
Criss found fame playing an openly gay student in the hit musical show, and he has now signed a deal with Sony music executives to record his debut.
He tells Billboard.com, "We're working on it - we're really excited and it's something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'm so thrilled that it's something that can happen because of Glee... I hope I can do it justice and make it something that people can really enjoy."
Criss and Morrison aren't the only Glee stars to put out their own solo songs - Mark Salling, who plays bad boy Puck, has recorded two studio albums.
