Tammy Brawner, who is reportedly planning to divorce the former Family Matters star, recently obtained a restraining order against him claiming he had been violent with her and their 16-month-old Zoey.

MCCrary's attorney Glen T. Jonas has responded to the allegations, claiming they are false and Brawner, a former Harlem Globetrotters basketball star, has made them up to help her case in their impending divorce.

"She (Brawner) is a predator motivated by a desperate desire to extort money out of Mr. MCCrary while trying to create an advantage in an impending divorce and custody battle," told TMZ.com. "Having floundered after being fired by the Globetrotters she apparently will say anything for a bit of media attention and a glimpse of the spotlight."

The attorney also called MCCrary "a loving, devoted and dedicated father" and the allegations "such obvious and outlandish lies".

After a judge granted Brawner's restraining order, MCCrary was ordered to move out of the shared property and stay at least 100 yards (91 metres) away from his her and their child. The 40-year-old cannot visit his daughter at least until the case is heard next month (Mar17).
