British rapper Dappy has dodged prison once more despite breaching his court-ordered probation requirements.

The former N-Dubz star was handed a suspended jail sentence last year (14) for punching a party-goer in a British nightclub while he was already serving another suspended term for a separate assault conviction.

He was put on probation, placed under a supervision order, told to attend a class and warned he would find himself behind bars if he did not comply.

However, Dappy, real name Costadinos Contostavlos, was let off with a fine during an appearance at St. Albans Crown Court in England this week (beg26Jan15) despite missing a probation appointment and arriving late to his self-control class.

Judge John Plumstead decided against activating the suspended sentence and warned the rapper he will be jailed if he flouts his probation requirements again.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, the judge told Dappy, "What you did is a form of rudeness. Probation officers work extremely hard. Public money is being wasted... I hope you have learned your lesson."

The 27-year-old star, who arrived in court with a packed bag, admitted to breaching probation and was fined $1,600 (£1,000).
