The MAChete star, 71, has been developing his interests outside of the movie industry with his own coffee blend and beer in recent years, and now he has opened Trejo's Tacos on La Brea Avenue.

The actor's new venture is backed by film producer Ash Shah, while Los Angeles chef Daniel Mattern has taken care of the menu, which features items like house-made salsa, and fried avocado and black pepper tofu.

"We have 10 different tacos," Danny tells the Los Angeles Times. "It's just stuff that everybody likes... Here, we wanted to include everybody, so we have a great vegan menu and gluten-free menu."

Danny and his business partners are also doing their bit for charity - any leftover food at the end of the day will be donated to a local homeless shelter.

"Nothing is kept overnight," the star explains.

The actor, whose coffee and beer products are also sold at the restaurant, is also working on adding a new dessert item to the menu with his own line of ice cream sandwiches, while he is already looking to open a second location in Hollywood.

Danny is the latest film star to move into the restaurant business - Robert De Niro, Ryan Gosling, Eva Longoria, and Justin Timberlake are just some of the big names who have tasted success with their own eateries.
