The cast for Danny Boyle's stalled Steve Jobs biopic has been confirmed, with Michael Fassbender portraying the late boffin and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, the former marketing chief of MACintosh.

The film will also reteam screenwriter Aaron Sorkin and his The Newsroom star Jeff Daniels, who will play former Apple CEO John Sculley.

Seth Rogen has also been cast as Jobs' Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Boyle has started shooting the project on location in San Francisco, California.

Steve Jobs is expected to be released in 2016.
