The 26-year-old actor is famous for stripping off on stage, having previously disrobed for his role in Equus. Daniel is currently in rehearsals for the innovative new stage show Privacy, about a man's interactions online, at The Public Theater in Manhattan. The plot of the show will change on a daily basis, based on what the audience say and do, and in that respect Daniel knows that going nude could be on the horizon for him once again.

Asked during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (14Jun16) if he will be going naked for Privacy, Daniel replied: "One of the great things about the show is that it’s going to be changing on a nightly basis based on things the audience are doing so who knows? Let's see what happens."

Daniel is one of the most famous actors in the world thanks to his role as the teen wizard in the Harry Potter film series. But he does his utmost to stay as private as he can, and that means limiting his access on social media.

"I’m not on much social media as well so that limits my exposure to these things," he said. "I think being in the position that I’m in, it makes you really value the parts of your life that you can keep private, so you hold on to them as much as you can."

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling is currently hitting the headlines again due to her play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child causing a stir in London's West End.

But Daniel isn't rushing to go and see it, because he knows the attention would be on him if he was sitting in the audience.

"I feel like I want to see the show, I'm genuinely intrigued and I’ve heard it’s fantastic," he shared. "I just feel like sitting in an audience of what will be, for the most part of the near future, be very enthusiastic Harry Potter fans might be not a relaxing way to see a show, I guess! So not for the time being."

Daniel added he is glad to hand the Harry mantel over to Jamie Parker, who plays the adult Harry in the new production.

"Jamie Parker is a wonderful actor and I’m very very happy to see him playing me," he smiled. "And maybe he’ll, like, maybe a lot of the Harry questions will shift to him now - he can do all of the Harry press!"
