Daniel Radcliffe has defended Lana Del Rey's 'Saturday Night Live' performance.

The 25-year-old singer has been criticised by US pundits and stars after she sang 'Video Games' and 'Blue Jeans' on the long-running NBC comedy show, but the 'Harry Potter' actor - who introduced her performance - has hit back at her critics.

He said: "It was unfortunate that people seemed to turn on her so quickly. I also think people are making it about things other than the performance."

One of Lana's biggest critics was Hollywood actress Juliette Lewis, who took to twitter to slam the American singer.

She wrote: "Wow watching this 'singer' on SNL is like watching a 12 year old in their bedroom when they're pretending to sing and perform #signofourtimes (sic)"

But Juliette has since gone back on what she said and deleted her tweet, describing the brunette beauty as a "fresh and yummy songwriter".
