While it is not unusual for onetime TV hits to be revived after a generation or so, an upcoming reboot of Dallas will be doing what none of The Others have -- featuring several of the stars of the original series in their original roles. TNT announced on Friday that it had ordered 10 episodes of the series, which it described as "an all-new series based upon one of the most popular television dramas of all time." Among the regulars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray in the roles they created in the 1970s. (The series ran from 1978-1991.) The new drama will also feature younger cast members Brenda Strong, Josh Henderson, Jordana Brewster and Jesse Metcalf. TNT programming head Michael Wright said in a statement "It is incredibly exciting to see both new and familiar characters in the hands of a dream cast." TNT said that it will preview the series tonight (Monday) during the season premiere of The Closer.
