Dallas legend Larry Hagman has vowed never to retire from acting and insists he would even like to die on stage.
The 81-year-old star, who plays oil baron J.R. Ewing in the U.S. soap, was diagnosed with throat cancer last year (11) just weeks before he was due to start filming the remake of the show.
However, he has since been given the all clear by doctors and now he is determined to continue working for as long as possible.
He tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "I'm ready to do another 13 years (on Dallas), so I will be 94 next time round. That's the plan. I don't want to retire. I'd like to die on stage, so to speak. I love acting and I've had a wonderful career."
The original Dallas series aired for 13 years until it went off air in 1991. It was rebooted for a new generation of fans earlier this year (12).
