LATEST: R+B star D'angelo is home from hospital, after bring treated for injuries he sustained in a car crash.
The 31-year-old BROWN SUGAR singer, real name MICHAEL EUGENE ARCHER, was hospitalised in Richmond, Virginia on 19 September (05) after his Hummer crashed into a fence and overturned, throwing him from the vehicle.
It is alleged that the singer was not wearing his seatbelt at the time. It's not known whether he was driving.
His lawyer, L LONDELL McMILLAN, says in a statement, "D'Angelo is home and doing well. He is anxious to finish the recording of his soul masterpiece that the world has patiently awaited. His spirit is very positive and he is blessed that the accident was not fatal."
Another occupant of the vehicle, LYNNE SELLERS, was also hurt. She and D'Angelo were taken to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, according to police, who are continuing to investigate the accident.
