Even though Doug gave up studying to become a forensic scientist, deep down he still sees himself as something of a modern day Sherlock Holmes. Finding himself back in his hometown of Portland and living with his sister, Doug takes up a dead-end job in a ice factory but when his ex-girlfriend Rachel goes missing it doesn't take long for the pseudo sleuth to reignite his interest in investigation.
