Rock trio Cream are set to reform again for a handful of city concerts, according to bassist and singer Jack Bruce.

It will be the first time the SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE band has toured together since their bitter break-up in 1968, although they played some brief reunion dates in London and New York City last year (05).

After those concerts, Cream's publicist Kristen Foster insisted, "The band has no plans for the future."

But Bruce now maintains that he, guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker are in talks to perform a limited number of city dates.

He says, "What we feel is that it's so special, and also so emotionally draining that it's not something we could do every day.

"We will play more, but where and when I'm not at liberty to say."

Bruce, 62, made the announcement ahead of tonight's (08FEB06) Grammy Awards, where the revered trio are due to pick up a Lifetime Achievement Award.
