Country star Craig Morgan sprang into action on Sunday (09Jun13) after witnessing a terrible road accident in his native Tennessee.
The singer and his band were heading home from a concert in Texas when they came upon two tractor-trailers that had burst into flames after colliding with a tanker truck on Interstate-40, just miles from his hometown.
The medically-trained U.S. Army veteran rushed in to help first responders extinguish the blaze and care for the drivers, who suffered only minor injuries.
Hailing Morgan a hero, Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis tells CNN.com, "He responded and did exactly what he had been taught to do and was a huge help. This is just another example of the kind of guy he is; he loves doing things for others."
This isn't the first time Morgan has turned rescue worker in the state - in 2011 he rushed in to a burning house in Charlotte and saved two young children from certain death.
