Corinne Bailey Rae
I'd Like To
EMI Records/Good Groove are proud to announce the release of Corinne Bailey Rae's new single 'I'd Like To' on February 12th.
'I'd Like To' demonstrates a different side to Corinne. More reminiscent of the playful pop of 'Put Your Records On' than the angelic beauty of 'Like A Star' it is both a nostalgic glimpse back to Corinne's early years growing up amongst summer parties and heatwaves and a sensual song of desire, "hoping that the boys will call for me". An uptempo soul stomp 'I'd Like To' is one of the highlights of Corinne's critically acclaimed, multi-million selling debut album and a firm live favourite.
The album 'Corinne Bailey Rae' has featured prominently in many end of year polls around the world, including Q's Albums of the Year and a Top 10 placing in the Billboard Critics' Choice Albums of the Year. Corinne has also been garlanded with a wide variety of awards throughout the year and is currently nominated for three Grammy Awards.
'I'd Like To' will be released on 7", CD and enhanced CD featuring the stunning video shot in Los Angeles. These formats will also feature two brand new tracks. In addition, there will also be an iTunes exclusive live version of the track which will subsequently feature on the forthcoming DVD 'Corinne Bailey Rae: Live In London & New York'.
Corinne starts her European tour in Amsterdam on February 23rd which rolls through Belgium, France, Spain, Italy and Germany before hitting the UK in March for the following shows:
13th - Apollo, Manchester
14th - Academy, Newcastle
16th - University, Leeds
