Former child star Corey Feldman was kicked him out of the apartment he shared with his father when he was just 14 after he told his dad he didn't want him to manage him anymore.
THE LOST BOYS star feared his relationship with his once-estranged father was suffering as his dad attempted to manage his career while building his own company.
But the actor's idea to just be father and son was greeted with disgust by his dad.
Feldman recalls, "I moved back in with him when I was about 14 years old - right about the time of Lost Boys - and he took advantage of me... because he built an entire company based on my stardom.
"He was running this management company, bringing people in and having my posters on the wall... and he would have me work seminars for him.
"The culmination of it was when I said to him at a certain point, 'Listen, I don't think it's a good idea you being my manager anymore because you're not making the kind of decisions that I wanna make... At this point, I'm living with you and we have a good relationship as far as father and son goes and I think that we should keep it to father and son and let's hire me a manager and keep it completely separate.'
"He said, 'You know what, if you don't want me to manage you, don't consider me your father anymore and I don't want you to live with me,' and he kicked me out of his apartment."
But Feldman admits he wasn't slow to leave: "I'm making these movies, where I'm making $100,000 a film and we're living in a one-bedroom apartment; I'm sleeping on a couch-bed."14/07/2005 09:09
