Actress Connie Britton feels overwhelmed with guilt as she struggles to balance motherhood with her busy shooting schedule for hit Tv series Nashville.

Britton adopted a baby son, Yoby, from Ethiopia in 2011, and insists she loves her role as a mother, but the 45 year old feels awful about leaving her little boy while filming episodes for the musical drama.

She tells, "I have the most incredible kid and we're having a great time. (But) I didn't really fully comprehend the level of guilt involved (with motherhood).

"I like to pride myself on not being a person who really functions at a level of guilt, and yet, man, I never knew I could feel so guilty when I work 16 hours and I really don't get to spend enough time with my son. It's awful."

Despite her difficulties, Britton would love to expand her family: "I would love more kids. Sure, why not? Bring it on."
