Coleen Rooney and her husband, the Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney, have unveiled the name of their new racehorse. Apparently breaking his own press embargo early on Wednesday (February 15, 2012), the football star tweeted. "Just to confirm to everyone I have now named my horse switcharooney".
Coleen and Wayne now have two horses, a colt named Tomway and their new yearling colt Switcharooney. Putting her penchant for fashion to good use, Coleen has designed the horse's pink and white jockey's colours, and Switcharooney should make its debut next year. The celebrity couple clubbed together 63k to purchase the colt, and it's currently training at Michael Owen's stables in Cheshire. Owen, an avid racing fan, tweeted this morning, saying "After weeks of indecision, Wazza has decided to call his horse Switcharooney! Let's hope he is a good un!". Coleen is understood to be a racing fan herself, and was snapped at Ladies Day at the Aintree Racecourse in 2011.
The television presenter, model and fashion designer, recently launched her own swimwear collection for catalogue brand Littewoods. Speaking to Now Magazine, Coleen, 25, said, "'It's the first swimwear shoot I've done and I was a little nervous.I don't have the perfect body - I'm a mother and a normal woman, so I felt I'd be more comfortable with an all-female crew.I did consider using a model but then I thought: These are my designs and I want to show them off".
