Kehlani has been forced to postpone her European tour to have "unexpected surgery" to remove a hernia.
The 21-year-old R&B star has been on the road since the end of February (17) on her SweetSexySavage World Tour, but announced on Instagram that she has had to call time on the tour in order to go under the knife.
Alongside a picture of her stomach, with the hernia clear to see, Kehlani wrote: "I've enjoyed being on the road in Europe so so much these past weeks. I'm deeply saddened to announce that I have to fly home for sudden unexpected surgery on my stomach, as some of you know I have a hernia (that squishy ball thingy above my belly button) and it's gotten to a point of necessary surgery.”
The operation means Kehlani has had to reschedule her 11 remaining European shows in Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, France, Belgium and Netherlands to allow herself time to "heal up" after the procedure, with the star promising to refund ticket holders if they can't make the new dates.
"Yes we will refund and reschedule, taking care of this is most important right now. I love you all so much. thank you for everything," she wrote in answer to a fan's question about the postponement.
The American leg of Kehlani's tour is due to kick off on 1 April (17), but it is so far unclear whether or not she will have to delay those shows as well.
She is also scheduled to perform at the Coachella music festival next month (Apr17), but it's also unknown whether she will be well enough for that gig.
Kehlani previously told Fader magazine that she hated her umbilical hernia when she was growing up because it left a lump on her stomach that made her feel unfeminine.
