Singing legend SIR Cliff Richard was stunned when his Icelandic promoters claimed he had been performing for "four centuries". The Summer Holiday star, 66, was set to perform in Icelandic capital Reykjavik and was shocked when the country's tourist board claimed he had been recording music for a lot longer than the factually correct 49 years. The promotional material read, "Cliff Richard has been a musical icon for more than four centuries. When he burst onto the scene in 1758, his raw teenage energy was a breath of fresh air..." Embarrassed bosses have now edited the text so "four centuries" becomes "four decades" and "1758" becomes "1958". Richard responds, "Well, it made me laugh."
