Cheryl Tiege must surely have known that if she couldn't even undertake a task as simple as slicing cheese then she was never going to be seriously in with a shot of doing well on 'Celebrity Apprentice Usa,' - unfortunately for the model and actress it turned out to be the undoing of her regardless and the 64 year-old suffered the ignominy of being the first to be evicted from the new season of the show, with contestants already hitting the ground running in terms of backstabbing and arguing.
The Uk's Daily Mail reports that the teams were set a sandwich challenge for the first week, pitting the boys - who include former 'American Idol' runner-up Clay Aiken, IndyCar legend Michael Andretti and producer George Takei - against the girls, who had the likes of Grammy winner Tia Carrere, comedienne Lisa Lampanelli and former Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza in their team. Working in their respective sandwich shops, both sets relied on their famous friends to come in and make big purchases on their sandwiches with customers including Wyclef Jean and hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons.
Ultimately it was the men who won though, with Aiken proving surprisingly astute at driving the up-sell and they sold $332,120 worth of product to $126,962 from the women - though gallingly enough for the latter the result largely came down to a whopping $305,000 paid by one donor for one sandwich. Following a grilling it was then left for Donald Trump to fire Tiege, who admitted "I don't know if this is right for me, to be honest with you. I'm actually more of a quiet person."
