Former supermodel Cindy Crawford has angered a Romanian charity with her huge demands to attend a fundraising event hoping to raise $180,000 (GBP100,000) in the eastern European country.
The former wife of Hollywood icon Richard Gere has requested leukaemia charity Valente Umane pay $126,000 (GBP70,000) for a private jet, luxury accommodation and expenses in return for a personal appearance, according to British newspaper The Sun.
Charity spokesperson RUXANDRA CUSNIR tells the tabloid, "I hope organisers don't spend all the money settling Cindy Crawford's bill."
ANA MARIA TAGOE, whose son three-year-old son LUCIAN is desperately in need a bone marrow transplant, adds, "I can't believe her greed - the money would pay for transplants for four children."20/07/2005 03:52
