Rap icon Chuck D has urged his fellow Americans to stop celebrating the death of Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden, insisting the killing of "one dude in a cave" is nothing to shout about.
Patriots gathered outside the White House in Washington, D.C. on Sunday night (01May11), when news broke about a successful Cia mission in Pakistan which resulted in the death of the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks on America.
Images of proud and relieved Americans waving flags and chanting "U-S-a" have been prominent on newscasts ever since President Barack Obama confirmed reports bin Laden had been killed.
But rapper and civil rights activist Chuck D wasn't among those celebrating.
In tweets he posted on Monday (02May11), the Public Enemy star wrote, "Usa is at it again, number one in the rankings of Killing Championships... Stealing the Gold in the Murder Olympics and the crowd goes wild!
"One f**kin dude in a cave, gimme a break please would some Ufo come down and straighten this human race out, even if you gotta devour us."
Hip hop has always been more of a culture than just a genre of music....
