British actor Christopher Biggins has slammed SIR Andrew Lloyd Webber's TV talent search to find an actress to play the lead role of MARIA in a London production of The Sound Of Music. Biggins is scouring America to find porn stars he can transform into theatrical thespians for his own reality show MY BARE LADY, and believes his programme will be far superior to Lloyd Webber's HOW DO YOU SOLVE A PROBLEM LIKE MARIA? Biggins says, "There is no competition as to which is the better show. But I think Andrew's show will do him more harm than good - I hear bookings for The Sound Of Music haven't been that great." However, a spokesman for The Sound Of Music counters, "We've already sold more than GBP5 million of tickets and it's not opened yet. I imagine Biggins is jealous he's not playing Maria."
