Christian Slater is desperate to take his West End adaptation of ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO's nest to Broadway.

After a successful stint in the play in London, the actor is heading back to the British capital to perform in a new version of TENNESSEE WILLIAMS' SWEET BIRD OF YOUTH.

But he is dreaming of reprising the role made famous on film by JACK NICHOLSON in Manhattan's famous theatre district.

He tells New York website, "I want to bring One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest here. They did it three years ago with Gary Sinise. But I know his version was, like, three hours. My version is two. It was like a rock concert every night."
