The French designer - who has worked for the likes of Ed Hardy, Lee, Kookai and Von Dutch - has produced a new collection of shirts for both men and women with his celebrity clientele in mind because he wants to comment on the current economic crisis.
He said: "My new collection 'The Same Guy' is for men and women and totally different from Ed Hardy. All the shirts are uni-coloured, simple and casual. They're easy to wear and come in different colours and washings.
The 51-year-old clothesmaker said it felt right to create a less flamboyant and understated line, which is a stripped back version of his previous range.
He told website bunte.de: "The global economic situation has changed - and we all have to comply with that. I wanted to create a less flamboyant collection everyone can afford."
The shirts, which can be purchased in the US from Kitson, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales, with prices range from $28 to $92.
